I.E.C.T. – Hermann Hauser
The I.E.C.T. – Hermann Hauser promotes the continual development of the Tyrolean startup ecosystem. In addition to supporting the Alpbach Summer School on Entrepreneurship, I.E.C.T co-developed the format “Camp Zwei” along with Standortagentur Tyrol and CAST in the Werkstätte Wattens.
Destination Wattens and Land Tyrol cooperate on many levels. One example is the project “Bilingual Education - English from Small to Big,” which is a subsidised programme. Also Werkstätte Wattens benefits from the partnership, including support in equipment for the Co-Working Space and Fablab or an initiative to help startups and partners to rent working spaces. As part of this programme, businesses receive funds (3 euros per m²) to pay rent for a period of no longer than four years.
A collaborative partner since Summer 2016, Schumbeta is a club for sustainable entrepreneurship, innovative designers and pioneers. As part of a forum hosted by Werkstätte Wattens on the topic of “City – Countryside – Flow,” participants reflected on the regional area and how to create added value.
Standortagentur Tyrol is an important partner of the Werkstaette Wattens initiative, providing support in programme conception for the development and acceleration of new business models. The format “Camp Zwei” was developed as part of this programme along with Standortagentur, CAST and I.E.C.T.
The InnCubator accompanies young founders in their development as entrepreneurs and mainly supports companies and startup teams in the early formation phase. The offered service is individually and flexibly adapted to the startups and is based on the strengths of the networks of the University and the Economic Chamber.
New Venture Scouting
New Venture Scouting has many years of experience with cooperations between established companies and startups, and offers its expertise to both worlds in Wattens. For instance, Werner Wutscher, founder and CEO, talked about the Dos and Don’ts in corporate startup collaborations within the event series “Morning Glory” hosted by Werkstätte Wattens.
