The Roland SRM-20 is a desktop CNC milling machine with three operable axes. Often referred to as a 2.5D machine, two axes can be set to circular interpolation and the third to linear. It can be used for milling small parts or for circuit board creation.
The machine is controlled with G-Code data, which must be pre-installed on a PC. To create a circuit board, a board is created using Eagle and is exported as a picture file. Wood and resin-based materials can also be machined in addition to circuit boards and plastics.
