The Ultimaker 2 is a desktop 3D printer. It operates according to the FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) principle. Layer for layer, three-dimensional objects are constructed using a synthetic thread, which is pushed through a 0.4 mm temperature-controlled nozzle.

The printer employs a single nozzle. Therefore, only a single colour is possible. Surpluses are created by the Cura software automatically, but are made from the same material as the model and must be removed manually.

What makes the Ultimaker so special is its heated construction platform, which eliminates the need for an additional bonding agent and the prints can be easily removed without difficulty.

Acceptable data formats include: .stl, .obj., .amf, and .dae.

Our standard settings can be imported from the accompanying SD card and should deliver good results for the majority of applications.
