Meet the traditional Japanese Origami technique and its younger brother, Oribotics. This up-and-coming technology includes computer calculations, foldable models and advanced materials and machines like 3D printers and laser cutters.

Origami is inspired by nature, where many comparable folding systems can be found on a micro and macro scale.

Matthew Gardiner is an Australian artist and researcher at the Future Lab des Ars Electronica Centers in Linz and at the University of Melbourne.
